What is the future of solar energy in the next 5–10 years? Will solar energy’s costs decrease? If so, by how much? Will its efficiency increase? If so, by how much?
Solar is by far the largest energy resource available on Earth—renewable or otherwise.
All other energy sources—aside from nuclear, geothermal, and tidal—come from sunlight.
Solar incentives for small business
Current business incentives include tax breaks, RECs, feed in tariffs and other forms of support. Save a bundle!
Cost of Solar
Solar PV has been getting cheaper by the year now a 20 kw system cost a little over $20,000 installed.
Around 120 square meters of roof or ground space required. for a 20 kilowatt solar system.
3 year ROI
Return On Investment of 3 years if you are paying $0.25 kwh for electricity and using your electricity in the daytime.
Renewable Energy Certificates
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are a tradeable commodity for eligible solar systems.
REC’s refer to Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs).
A 20 kw systems Government incentive STC 20 (kW) x 1.382 (Zone 3) x 14 (Years) = 384 STC's x $30 = $11,520
25 year Solar Production
A 20 kw solar system will annually produce approx 30,000 kw of electricity for the next 25 years some 750,000 kilowatts. In terms of money at 25 cents a kilowatt hour amounts to $187,500. All our Solar Systems have a Manufacturer’s performance warranty of 25 years.
Is your business eligible for the $20,000 Immediate Tax Break? Check with your accountant.
Feed In Tariffs
Whilst your business works 5 days a week utilising all the energy generated at the weekend or on Public Holidays you may have surplus. Feed in tariffs pay system owners for surplus electricity exported to the mains grid. Presently this may vary up to $0.12c kwh.
NAB Low Interest Loans
The Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) is providing $120 million through the National Australia Bank (NAB) for discounted interest loans for solar systems.
Accreditation and qualifications
Future Energy Savers have the knowledge and experience that will give you peace of mind.
All Solar PV systems within Australia must be designed and installed by Clean Energy Council accredited designers and installers.
Clean Energy Accreditation
Solar PV accreditation gives installers access to continuous professional development and technical support to ensure the best possible standard of solar PV installations across Australia.
Becoming accredited with the Clean Energy Council means your solar PV installations will be eligible for government rebates such as Small-scale Technology Certificates and feed-in tariffs.
Will Solar Decrease in Cost
For solar PV in particular, it's important to note that the total system cost is no longer dominated by the solar panel itself. Everything else that goes into a PV system—inverters, transformers, wiring, racking, installation labour, customer acquisition, permitting, taxes, financing, business overhead—add up to well over half of the total cost of solar PV in Australia today.
When investing in a solar installation for your business, reliability and long-term performance are a key concern so call me Ian 0401 226265 and let’s see how I can help your business save money on energy.
